How much space do I need?
You will need 4ft either side of the bouncy castle and 6ft at the back for the blower. You will also need approximately 6ft in front of the castle, to ensure that there is enough space to get on and off the castle safely If in doubt please call 087 9299972 or 091 844947 or e-mail info@candccastles.com with details of exact dimensions available.

What type of surface do I need?
We prefer to set up on grass externally. If you don’t have grass you must state this at the time of booking, as we don’t set up on hard surfaces, unless agreed first, some under protection may be needed, we reserve the right to refuse to set up due to area being to rough or not suitable, We do ask for the area to be clear from anything that could damage the castle, such as sharp objects, glass, stones, overhanging branches, dog mess etc…

Can the castles go indoors?
Our castles can be used in halls and other indoor venues, although they require a minimum 12 ft ceiling height, depending on the inflatable you hire. If you book a castle before ensuring the area meets our requirements, we reserve the right not to erect the castle if we believe it to be dangerous or unsuitable.

If this happens, we require 50% of the booking fee to be paid by the hirer

What happens if it rains?
Some of our castles come with sewn-in raincovers and so children will be protected during light rain. If it does begin to rain heavily, the castle will need to be turned off and deflated. After this can be cleaned off and dried then continued to use again.

What condition should the castle be returned in?
We Hire our Castles in clean condition, Castles must be returned in clean condition, for cleaning can be done quickly near the end of use, not at time of collection. Gently sponge off areas that got dirty, it’s the person or persons that hired the castle responsibility to keep the castle clean. We have a cleaning charge off 200 euro that can apply if castle is left in a dirty state, remember nobody wants to hire a dirty inflatable, so please keep in mind others may need it the next day, only minor cleaning can be done between time.

All castles are aimed to be set up dry, sometimes water can get trapped and takes a short while to blow off when set up, this does not take long and is nothing to worry about if it blows bubbles.

Do you offer a free delivery service?
Yes, we deliver the bouncy castle free of charge, within our delivery zone. There is a small surcharge for delivery outside this zone, for Major Events we can agree any delivery, if any, at the time off Booking.

What time do you deliver the bouncy castle?
We aim to deliver before 12 noon and pickup times are agreed at hire. Although on very busy dates we may have to deliver early in the morning or the days before, which will be agreed at the time of booking.

What is the safe way to use a Inflatable/Bouncy Castle?
We provide a detailed set of rules to read over on hire, also it is not advised to put add water and fairy liquid to the castles, as this will cause then to lose grip, doing so is done at risk of the hirer,also it is asked that small children not to be mixed with larger children, common sense must be used in each case.

Horseplay pushing and shoving, cartwheels, diving and jumping and climbing is strictly forbidden and is the Hirers responsibly which is stated in the rules. Bouncy Castles are a very enjoyable way of having fun, but must be used with respect and treated with care like any other form of entertainment.

Supervision is key, good supervision and no overcrowding at any time, eliminates most risks, remember children will do the unexpected if let, it is up to the Hirer to ensure the castle is not left unsupervised at any time. A more detailed guidelines is available at any time. All Bouncy Castle Companies ask the same, good supervision equals good safe fun, this must be kept in mind at all times. THIS CANNOT BE STRESSED ENOUGH. if you see something wrong, stop and correct straight away, never wait until later.

What is the Disclaimer?
When we deliver the castle, you will be required to sign the Disclaimer Form to say that you have fully read and understood the Terms and Conditions of Hire and safety aspects.

Are City & County Castles insured?
Yes. We do have Public Liability Insurance which would cover any accidents which were our fault, such as equipment failure or failing to install the inflatable properly. We have up to 15 units insured for corporate events. For domestic use the hirer is responsible for the supervision at all times, with three adults on bigger units and two adults on smaller ones.

Would you take the Bouncy Castle through the house to get into the back garden?
Yes, at the household owners risk if there is no back gate in use. Bouncy castles are rather bulky and large when deflated. We can only manage going up or down a few steps, as the castles are very heavy! Carrying over walls or fences can be done but must be stated before any agreement is made on booking, if this happens without City and County Castles knowing we may not be fit to set up.

How does the castle stay up?
We use an electric blower, which stays on continually while the castle is in use. We will need access to a power supply within 50 feet of the castle. Please state on booking if this is not the case. The castle takes about 30 minutes to set up and 30 minutes to pack away.

What about the weather?
As we all know the one thing we can’t predict is the weather, we do reserve the right to not set up due to extreme weather conditions, safety must come first, we provide advice on the time of setting up, any dates agreed are booked for the date stated only. This is totally out of out control and must be kept in mind at all time, also is part of the risk at the time of the booking.

When and how do I pay?
We ask for full payment in cash on delivery of the castle, a deposit for the date may be need for high priortity dates, which will be agreed at the time of booking.
